Terms, copyright & content responsibility

Cooliful and its owner, StrandaData, do not, in any issue, take any responsibility for any content created using Cooliful. This includes video, images, audio, music, voices, avatars, scripts, storyboards, translations, captions and any derivative or exported deliverable, whether produced automatically by the AI Director or by your own edits.

Each person or company using Cooliful is self-responsible for any content they generate, publish, distribute, broadcast, monetise or share. You alone decide what to create and where it is used, and you alone carry the legal, commercial, reputational and regulatory consequences of that content.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StrandaData disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of Cooliful or from the content produced with it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited in your jurisdiction.

Cooliful requires strict respect for copyright. You must hold all necessary rights, licences, releases and permissions for every input you provide — briefs, reference images, footage, logos, brand assets, scripts, music, voice samples and likenesses — and for every output you publish.

You must not use Cooliful to:

• reproduce, imitate or launder copyrighted works, characters, trademarks or trade dress without authorisation from the rights holder;
• clone, synthesise or imitate a real person's voice, face, likeness or performance without their documented, informed consent (and never for a minor);
• create deepfakes, impersonations, fraudulent endorsements or misleading political, medical or financial material;
• create sexual content involving minors, unlawful hate speech, incitement to violence, harassment, or any other content prohibited by applicable law;
• circumvent, misrepresent or strip provenance, watermarking or AI-disclosure requirements where a jurisdiction (for example the EU AI Act transparency rules) requires them.

Third-party AI engines routed by Cooliful may impose their own additional terms. Where a provider's terms are stricter, the stricter terms apply to that render.

Cooliful lets you upload pictures and video clips as references — the people you want cast, a location, a product, a look, or a clip you want a scene to feel like. By uploading, you confirm that you own the material or hold written permission to use it, that it contains no copyrighted third-party work you are not licensed to use, and that every identifiable person has given documented, informed consent to appear in AI-generated material. Never upload films, television, stock footage, music, artwork, logos or photographs of people without the rights to do so.

Uploaded references are stored privately for your account, analysed only to guide your own production, and can be deleted by you at any time. All uploaded material — and every film, image, voice track or export produced from it — is solely the responsibility of the person or company that uploaded it. StrandaData accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for uploaded or generated content, may remove material or suspend and delete accounts that breach these terms or any local or international law, and does not act as a backup service: keeping copies of your productions is your responsibility.

As between you and StrandaData, you retain whatever rights you hold in the inputs you supply and the outputs you generate, subject to the licences of the underlying AI providers and to applicable law. StrandaData claims no ownership over your productions and only processes them to operate the service for you.

AI-generated material may not be protectable by copyright in every jurisdiction, and similar outputs may be generated for other users. StrandaData gives no warranty of originality, non-infringement, exclusivity, fitness for a particular purpose or commercial usability.

If a user breaches any local or international regulation or law — or these terms — Cooliful has the full right to remove or delete any content, renders, exports, projects or accounts, without prior notice, refund or obligation to preserve data. This includes suspending access, blocking specific engines or features, and cooperating with lawful requests from competent authorities.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StrandaData, its owners, employees and providers against any claim, demand, penalty, loss or cost arising from content you create or from your breach of these terms or of applicable law.

Each user is responsible for all backup of any video produced. Cooliful is a production tool, not an archive or a system of record. Renders, frames, audio stems, exports and project history may be rotated, expired, capped, moved between providers, or removed at any time, including after account changes or enforcement action.

Download and back up every deliverable you care about. You may back up to any solution you wish — local storage, NAS, external drives, or any cloud service of your choice. StrandaData accepts no liability for lost, deleted, corrupted or unrecoverable productions.

Cooliful routes work to third-party AI engines for video, image, voice, music and sound. Availability, quality, latency, pricing and model behaviour are outside StrandaData's control and may change or fail without notice. Cost and ETA figures shown in the app are estimates, not quotes or guarantees.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you enjoy in your country of residence. Questions, rights requests and copyright complaints (including takedown notices) can be sent to StrandaData through the contact channel published on the Cooliful website.
